Equation which i dont like math not no my question 3 (k-12)=k-30

3 (k-12) = k-30

3k - 36 = k - 30

3k - k = -30 + 36

2k = 6

k = 3

First you distribute and get 3k-36=k-30.
Next you bring the variables to one side and it becomes 2k-36=-30
Then you add 36 to both sides and you get 2k=6
Lastly you divide by 2 and you get k=3 which is the answer
