Can someone meh with this simply question? the info is in the picture.

Turn 1/4 into 3/12. Circle 5 of them, and put an x on 3 of them

This question is finding out if you know how to find fractions in simple things. If you have 12 balloons, to circle 5/12 of the balloons means to circle 5 balloons because 5 out of 12, or 5/12, is 5 of the 12 balloons. The other question is asking mark an x on 1/4 of the balloons. If you look at the 12 balloons, then you have 12/12 balloons, but it wants you to only mark an x on 1/4 of the balloons, so what number goes into 12 4 times? It's 3, 3+3+3+3 is 12, so it goes in 4 times, which means that 3/12 is the same thing as 1/4 of the balloons. 1/4 and 3/12 is the same thing, it's just that 1/4 is reduced down more. So you would mark an x on 3 of the 12 balloons, and circle 5 of the 12 ballons
