Movie ticket prices have been on a steady rise the past few years. five years ago the ticket price was p = price. two years ago prices increased by $2 a ticket and this year they have increased by $1. the ticket price change could be expressed as (p + 2) + 1.
use the associative property to write an equivalent expression.
a) p = 2 + 1
b) p + (2 + 1)
c) 2p + 1
d) p(2 + 1)
