1) 2x = +/- 4 so x = +/- 2

2) x-3 = 7  OR x - 3 = -7
so x = 10 or x = -4

3)2x + 5 = 21 OR 2x + 5 = -21
so x = 8 or x = -13

4) x + 4 = 6 OR x + 4 = -6
so x = 2 or x = -10

5) x + 2 = -(2x+4) OR x + 2 = 2x + 4
x = -2 or x = -6

6) x + 7 =  0
x = -7

7) you forgot the equal sign somewhere in this problem
