If your objective is to feed 6 students with 5 pizzas, then do it like this:

(5 pizza) / (6 student) = 5/6 pizza per student.

Cut each pie in 6 equal pieces, and give each student 5 of the pieces.

No because if you do the higher number minus the lower number you will get a positive. if you do it the other way around you will get a negative number
