Rewrite 6 2/3 as an improper fraction

6 * 3 = 18 + 2  = 20

improper fraction will be 20/3

look at the fraction 6   2

Then you take 6*3=18+2 to get 20, then your denominator always stays the same so 20/3. to turn back into improper always do mixed number*denominator+numerator
