A. 3.25 * 10^3. Basically, your going to times 10 by three because of it's exponent. Which is 10 * 10 * 10

So, we'd have:
3.25 * 1000 =

Now, we multiply, which the answer would be:
3250.0

B. As of part B we're expected to do both equations then we should see which is more reasonable.

1.435 * 10^-3
2. We begin by multiply to 10 by it's exponent.
-10 *-10 *-10 , which is 0.001.
 So, we have, 1.435 * 0.001.

Which is:
0.001435mm

Lets try the other equation,
1.435 * 10^3

Times the ten by the exponent:
10*10*10

Which is:
1.435 * 1000= 1435mm

So, for B 1.435* 10^3 seems more reasonable.
