A commercial laundry company that cleans cloth napkins for restaurants in a large city plans to investigate the effectiveness of three different laundry detergents (B, D, and R) in cleaning the two types of stains the cloth napkins arrive with: grease stains and dirt stains. From the company’s large collection of stained cloth napkins, a random sample of 300 cloth napkins known to have only grease stains was selected. Each napkin was randomly assigned to one of the three detergents. The table shows the number of grease-stained cloth napkins successfully cleaned and not successfully cleaned for each detergent.
