You need to learn reigonometry rules. SOH CAH and TOA

But for these questions you only need SOH and CAH.

To find x you need to use CAH which basically means Cos = Adjacent length/ Hypotenuse length because length x is touching the angle that means it is the adjacent one. so input your values into the equation

cos75 = x/8 and rearrange the values to find x

x= 8cos75
x= 2.07 your teacher may want the answer reduced to 1.s.f but you will need to ask them

To find y you need to use SOH which means sin= opposite length/ hypotenuse length

so input values

sin75= y/8 and rearrange
y= 8sin75

y = 7.73
