The 225 men and 175 women in a group were each asked whether they had a blank card. 138 women said they did, and 41 men said they did not. One member of the group is selected at random. Showing your working, decide whether the events ‘a woman is selected’ and ‘a person who has a blank card is selected’ are independent.
