1/10 of the counters in a bag are blue. 1/2 of the counters are red. 2/5 of the counters are yellow. Which of the ratios below shows the ratio of blue to red to yellow?

Given: 1/10 blue
1/2 red
2/5 yellow

First, make it so that each if their whole (denominator, or the right side) is equal.

We already know that 2 and 5 are common factors of 10, so we get them to the number 10 by equal multiplication.

1/10 - blue
1/2(5) = 5/10 - red
2/5(2) = 4/10 - yellow

Now just take their numbers in order.

1:5:4
