I'm having trouble with the second to last step in the fifth question. 1
1 1
x 1 1 (This is a right triangle)
1 69° 1
1-1
11
1. first identify a trigonometric ratio that will make it possible to find the value of x.
Answer = X is opposite to the angle 69° and 11 is adjacent to the angle 69°

2. To find the unknown value, which trigonometric function should be used?
Answer = Tangent

3. Use the tangent ratio for TAN 69°.
Answer = TAN 69° = \frac{x}{11}

4. Multiply both sides by 11.
TAN 69° = \frac{x}{11}
Answer = 11 · TAN 69° = x

5. Simplify
11 · TAN 69° = x
11(2.6051) ≈ x
(Blank) ≈ x
Answer = 28.7 ≈ x < -- (Rounded to the nearest tenth)

11(2.6051) ≈ x This is the part I'm having trouble with. I don't understand how to get the decimal in the parenthesis. I've tried dividing, multiplying, multiplying and then dividing. I just can't get the correct answer. I think I'm suppose to use a geometry calculator and input TAN then multiply(or divide I don't know), but I don't have one right now so I need to know if there's any way I could get the same answer with a regular calculator.

The data shown in the table below represents the weight, in pounds, of a little girl, recorded each year on her birthday. age (in years) weight (in pounds) 2 32 6 47 7 51 4 40 5 43 3 38 8 60 1 23 part a: create a scatter plot to represent the data shown above. sketch the line of best fit. label at least three specific points on the graph that the line passes through. also include the correct labels on the x-axis and y-axis. part b: algebraically write the equation of the best fit line in slope-intercept form. include all of your calculations in your final answer. part c: use the equation for the line of best fit to approximate the weight of the little girl at an age of 14 years old.

You drop a rubber ball off the roof of a 50 meter high building onto a paved parking lot. it bounces back up with every bounce, but not quite all the way back up to you. after the first bounce it bounces back only 80 percent of the distance it was dropped from. the pattern continues, meaning after every bounce it comes up to just 80 percent of the previous maximum height. so if before the first bounce the height is 50 meters, what height does the ball reach after the fifth bounce? round your answer to one decimal place and chose the correct response from the choices below:
