The diagram shows two horizontal triangular fields ABC and ACD which are surrounded
by hedges. Given that DAB is a straight line, AC - 65 m, AD-84 m, ZCAB= 60° and
ABC - 72
Calculate
(i) the length of the hedge BC,
(ii) the area of the field ACD.
(iii) the length of the hedge CD,
(iv)the shortest distance from C to DB
correct to 3 significant figures
(b) A vertical tree of height 16.2 m is growing at C.
Find the greatest angle of elevation of the top T
of the tree from a point on DB.
