I do not have pets at the moment, but I had a goldfish.
Explanation:
Leo was the name of my goldfish, I named him after Leo Vasquez from the Heroes Of Olympus series who was a Mexican fire wielding demigod. I got him at a fair so it was already for seen that he would die very fast but I loved him anyway. I loved watching him swim in the small bowl we got him, it gave me more responsibility too, but I was fine with that. A month after I got Leo me and my parents were going on a trip to Indiana, my parents were stubborn and wouldn't let me bring him on the trip. Therefore we left him with my cousins who I trusted very much. While on the trip my cousins did not take the proper precautions in taking care of Leo and so he died. I did what was customary of someone who lost a beloved one and flushed him down the toilet. I still miss Leo to this day.
Edit:
I never wanted a pet really, but it seems as if life chose to give me one anyway. I was 11 years old and like any kid I was exited to be at the yearly fair. As I went attraction to attraction me and my father came a cross one of those games where you win a goldfish. My father told me too try it, I really didn't want to waste my ticket on such lame attraction, what was the point? But I tried anyway. I have really good marksmanship and was tempted to fail but I still didn't, knowing all these people were watching, seeing If I really could win the game. I won on first try. The man at the stand congratulated me and gave me the goldfish in a plastic bag. It seemed to be scared, it kept darting so fast I couldn't keep up with it, I went home that night with one thought on my mind, what to do know?

The next day when I woke up my parents decided to make a big deal out of it taking me to PetSmart and buying a bunch of stuff that I thought wasn't really necessary. When I got home I transferred the goldfish into its new home and decided he needed a name. It was hard like move a boulder up a hill hard, then the name hit me, Leonardo Vasquez, my favorite character from the Heroes Of Olympus series. I guessed it really fit him since the demigod Leo wielded fire, and fire is golden orange and just like Leo the goldfish. He was really something darting here and their never staying in the same spot for more than a few seconds, he was already growing on to me seeing as me too never like to stay in the same spot and love running. I was intrigued by Leo he was beautiful when you payed attention to him, the way his gill's helped him breath how his scales were reflective in the light and etc. I had so many questions about him but they were simple to answer (They aren't actually) . I know it sounds weird but Leo actually became a friend of mine, I would have conversations out loud with him asking him for advice, engaging in a normal conversation with him, or just relieving my feelings to him. Now it wasn't like having a dog but it is he closest I ever came to having one (LOL). My fire wielding goldfish was my best friend and that's all that mattered to me.

Leo also required a lot of my attention too. I had to feed him 3 times a day, and being an always busy tween I wasn't always there to do that but I tried my best to do so. Its interesting how a fish eats just opening there mouth and letting the food in. I actually only cleaned Leo's bowl like twice while he was with me. I loved watching him swim, when I went to sleep I would go asleep seeing him swim and wake up seeing him swim it was entrancing.
After spending one month with Leo I had grown a deep bond with him so much that I actually wanted to stay home for a few weeks alone with Leo just because I couldn't bring him on a family trip, he was now my family too. My parents finally made me go with them but we left Leo with my cousins. Just before I left Leo I looked back on him and said, "Don't you dare tell them anything Vasquez, Promise? " And with a joking smile I left him with them. When I came back he was 2 weeks dead, they hadn't even bothered calling. Leo was shriveled up and dry, my best friend was dead. When I went home I did a proper funeral, I alone in the bathroom crying, let my friend go into sewers where he would go to fishy heaven and live a good eternal life with Fishy Jesus & God. I still miss Leo to this day
PS It was hard trying to make 1 month into 5 paragraphs but it was worth it.

You drop a rubber ball off the roof of a 50 meter high building onto a paved parking lot. it bounces back up with every bounce, but not quite all the way back up to you. after the first bounce it bounces back only 80 percent of the distance it was dropped from. the pattern continues, meaning after every bounce it comes up to just 80 percent of the previous maximum height. so if before the first bounce the height is 50 meters, what height does the ball reach after the fifth bounce? round your answer to one decimal place and chose the correct response from the choices below:
