Step-by-step explanation:

1)  (x,y) -> (-2+y, -x)    so just find a point on the first object and use those rules they have giving us to move to the 2nd translated point... like... let's use the point at (1,1) on the corner of the 1st object b/c 1,1 seems like an easy point to work with :)   s since  x=1 and y=1 for the point we are moving... plug those into our formula.. (-2+1, -1 ) is where the corner of the 1st object moves to.. get it?   so  to (-1,-1) is the destination of the new corner.. so put a point at (-1,-1) and keep in mind that it's that bottom left corner of that picture.. then try the top right corner at (2,3)  to see if our object rotates at all  ?  hmmm  so plug in to our formula again  ( -2+3, -2)  = (1,-2)  this is the top right corner put another dot at that point...  then try ( 2,1) that bottom right side of our object... so (-2+1,-2) = (-1,-2)  put another point there.. maybe you can see the object now but if unsure try the point at (1,2)  from the original object and see where that plots (-2+2,-1) = (0,-1)  put another dot at that point.  now you can probably see the object .. it's been turned and move over .. huh see it?  :)

2)for this one we are given y= -x  seems like very little info,  huh.. it's designed to give little info to "throw" you.. I feel like it's a disingenuous way to try and "trick" people into feeling dumb.. anyway.. if y = -x then  x = -y also, so let's put that into our formula  ( x, y) -> (-y, -x)  see?    so now reverse the points to get back to the start... take a point at say (1,1) and put it into the formula.. and we get (-1,-1)  see?  (2,1) -> (-2,-1)   (1,2) -> (-1,-2)   (2,3) -> (-2,-3)   put points at each of the new locations of the starting point graph... and the connect them the object is flipped and rotated by 180 huh..  over the x=y line,   see it?
