Finally multiply both sides by 3/2 to eliminate the 2/3 so that leaves us with x = 6/2 or x = 3. We can also double check my answer. 1/3 (2(3) + 3) = 3 will become 1/3 (6 + 3) = 3. Then, 1/3 (9) = 3.
