In dividing 2 Quadratics (eg. x^2+5x+4 and x^2+4x+3 (not these , these are just examples ) my friend pointed out that if you remove the squared on the x and and the 4x (e. g) and keep the final to make (x+4)/(x+3). And then find the highest common factor in them (3 and 4) then divide them by it (in this example its one) so the final answer is (x+4)/(x+3). How can you prove this is wrong/correct?
