What is the first step to solve the following quadratic when completing the square?
x2 + 6x = 12
1)Solve the equation by taking the square root from both sides.
2)Add 9 to both sides in order to create a perfect square trinomial on the left side of the equation.
3)Factor out an X from the left side of the equation and set each factor equal to 12.
4)Subtract 12 from both sides in order to set the function equal to zero.
5)Graph the function and see where the graph equals 12.
