Which of the following shows that EFGH is a parallelogram for y=7 and z=9?
The figure shows quadrilateral E F G H. Angle E measures 7 times y plus 11 degrees. Angle F measures 17 times y plus 1 degrees. Angle G measures 14 times z minus 6 degrees.
m∠E + m∠G = 180°; so EFGH is a parallelogram.
m∠F = m∠G = 120° and m∠E = 60°; so ∠E is supplementary to both ∠F and ∠G; so EFGH is a parallelogram.
m∠F = m∠G = 120°; so EFGH is a parallelogram.
m∠E = m∠F = 60° and m∠G = 120°; so ∠G is supplementary to both ∠E and ∠F; so EFGH is a parallelogram.
