The same sequence may be defined three ways: 1) f(x) = 1/4 x + 1/4 for x = {1, 2, 3, ...}, 2) a1 = 1/2 and an + 1 = an + 1/4 for n = {1, 2, 3, ...} and 3) an = 1/4 + 1/4 (n − 1) for n = {1, 2, 3, ...}.
