1) A basket of apples are given to a group of students. If 3 apples are given to each student, there will be 8 apples left. If 5 apples are given to each student, only one student get less than 5 apples. How many students are in the group?

2) A group of students will spend the night in a hotel, and certain number of rooms are booked. If 4 students are in each room, then 20 students have no room. If 8 students are in each room, then only one room is not full. How many rooms are booked?
