An evaluation of the habitats of endangered salmon species was performed in Conservation Ecology (December 2003). The researchers identified 734 sites (habitats) for Chinook, coho, or steelhead salmon species in Oregon and assigned a habitat quality score to each site. (Scores range from 0 to 36 points, with lower scores indicating poorly maintained or degraded habitats.) The data are saved in the HABITAT file.
