When Emily and Jay undertook a pedigree rabbit breeding program they tried to selectively breed
rabbits that had both long ears and multicoloured fur. The problem was that many of the rabbits they
bred had just one or none of the desired traits.
They took a survey and found that of 50 rabbits 18 had neither
long ears nor multicoloured fur; 24 had long ears and 16 had
multicoloured fur. Enter this information into a Venn diagram
and calculate the probability that if one of the 50 rabbits is
selected at random it has:
(a) Long ears.
(b) Multicoloured fur.
(c) Long ears and multicoloured fur.
(d) Just one of the desired traits.
(e) Neither trait.
(f) At least one of the desired traits.
(g) At most one of the desired traits.
