a^2 = ab
a^2 - b^2 = ab - b^2
(a+b) (a-b) = b(a-b)
a+b=b
b+b = b
2b = b

his opinion: yes this works
my opinion: you can't tack on a bunch of stupid stuff and say it works
math geniuses tell me the technicalities and if it works please
