Billy is monitoring the exponential decay of a radioactive compound. He has a sample of the compound in a test tube in his lab. According to his calculations, the sample is decaying at a rate of 34% per hour. There are at least 45 grams of the sample remaining. Once the sample reaches a mass of 7 grams, Billy will continually add more of the compound to keep the sample size at a minimum of 7 grams.

If R represents the actual amount of the sample remaining, in grams, and t represents the time in hours, then which of the following systems of inequalities can be used to determine the possible mass of the radioactive sample over time?

If m∠abc = 70°, what is m∠abd? justify your reasoning.  using the addition property of equality, 40 + 70 = 110, so m∠abd = 110°.  using the subtraction property of equality, 70 − 30 = 40, so m∠abd = 30°.  using the angle addition postulate, 40 + m∠abd = 70. so, m∠abd = 30° using the subtraction property of equality.  using the angle addition postulate, 40 + 70 = m∠abd. so, m∠abd = 110° using the addition property of equality.
