Im working on system of equations and i can’t figure out y = x + 5
y = -3x - 7

the formula is "y=mx+b"

(i dont rlly know what your asking but...)

y = x + 5

5 is your y-intercept

y = -3x - 7

-3x is your slope and -7 is your y-intercept

the distance from any point on the parabola to the focus is the exact same as the distance from that point to the directrix.

if you could provide answer choices that might allow me to answer the question easier if my above answer isn't an option! (:
