Move x to the other side by subtracting it since it’s positive.

-3y = -x + 18

Divide the whole equation by -3 to find the value of just 1 y.

-3y/-3 = -x/-3 + 18/-3

y = 1/3x -6

Do you need with the x value for the minimum? its always between the two intercepts for a parabola
