So what are the points? they are (-3, 2) and (-1,-1). And what is the equation we need to use? The equation is y₂₋y₁ divided by x₂-x₁. So now look at the two coordinates or points we are given.

(-3, 2) and (-1, -1). They both have an x and y, correct? Correct! But here's the thing. The first coordinnate points will be 1 and the second points would be two. So now we label them

-3= x₁  2= y₁   -1= x₂   -1=y₂    label them

(-1-2) ÷ (-1-(-3)   subtract

(-3) ÷ (-1-(-3)  (REMEMBER THIS!! => (a negative number subtracted by a negative number makes it a positive so... -(-3)= +3) So...

(-1-(-3) equals to (-1+3) which equals to -2

-3/2 equals the slope! So the answer is literally Negative 3 over 2!
