So you take 3r and 2r and combine them because (like mentioned), you combine the terms that are same. You add them and get 5r. Since -r^2 and six don't have  the same terms, they stay the same and you combine the terms and make in it into a simplfied polynomial sequence. 5r-r^2-6.
