So the Y=mX+B formula for linear equations can be graphed like this:

I usually start with B. B is your y-intercept or where the line intersects the the y-axis (the vertical one)

Then from there look at your mX, then look at m. M is organized as Rise/run, or if your value was 1/2 you go up from your b one the. over to the right two, the if the value is negative go the opposite way. If your M is only one number like 5 it’s really 5/1 because 5 divided by 1 is five.

You start with B then move up by the rise the over by the run, and then from that point go up by the rise and over by the run and etc.
