The solution to the inequality 5.25 – b ≥ 6.5 is:

                      b ≤ -1.25

i.e. in interval form it is:  (-∞,-1.25]

We are given a inequality with a equality sign in terms of single variable b as follows:

                 5.25 – b ≥ 6.5

on subtracting both side by 5.25 we get:

          -b ≥ 6.5-5.25

  ⇒    -b ≥ 1.25

on multiplying both side by -1 we get:

                   b ≤ -1.25 or in interval form it is: (-∞,-1.25]

( As we know that on multiplying by a negative number the sign of the inequality get interchanged )
