-6x+14=-2^x+6

One day to if this were on a test (sat, act, or NY regents and they gave multiple choice, I would use the calculator (or by hand) and substitute each answer into the equation.

Also. Is it -2^x or (-2)^x... that makes a difference

The way that it is written, if you substitute,

0: 14=5 no
1: 8=4 no
2: 2=2 yes —> -6(2) + 14 = -12 + 14 = 2. & -2^2 + 6 = -4 +6 = 2
3: -4=-2
4: -10 = -10 —> -6(4) + 14 = -24 + 14 = -10 & -4^2 + 6 = -16 + 6 = -10
