Is 7 = (5/2)(2) + 6 ?

16 = 10 + 6 ?          Yes, so B is on the line

Point C:  (-2,1)

Is 1 =  (5/2)(-2) + 6 ?

1 =  -5 + 6 ?           Yes, so C is on the line
