Let us assume that the number of dimes = x

number of nickel = 7x

1 nickel = 0.05$

0.10 x + 0.05 ( 7x) = 4.05

0.10x+ 0.35x = 4.05

0.45x = 4.05

x = 9

number of nickel = 7× 9
