Some political scientists and historians have established rankings of American presidents from
best to worst. How would you rank presidents
from best to worst? I'm not asking for names of
presidents - I want you to think about how you
would go about creating a system you could use
to rank presidents. Answer the following questions
to establish your ranking methods.
1. What qualities and characteristics make a
president especially good or bad?2. What types of
accomplishments make some presidents better
than others? 3. How might public opinion factor
into presidential rankings in your system? 4. What
else would you consider when ranking presidents
from best to worst? 5. Which presidents do you
think political scientists and historians usually
rank as the best? Why do you think these
presidents are often chosen as the best? 6. What
would make a president one of the worst
presidents, in your opinion?
