Now the reason he resigned marked one of the most biggest Landmark Supreme Court Case known as the US vs Nixon. This case was made because of videotapes with Richard Nixon and others as they were discussing that they were giving away certain classified information on the White House. As the detectives were investigating, they found out he had the tapes and ordered for him to hand it over. He refused to say he had the executive privilege and did not need to hand over the tapes to anyone.
