When immigrants came to America it was hard for them, they faced many things such as language barriers, bandits and many other hardships that came along their way. First of all, they faced unemployment for jobs. This is because people did not know who they were and did not know if they were dangerous or not.
They did not know this and probably thought of having rich soil and agricultural farming.
These immigrants would have to learn new languages to adjust to life in America to have jobs and to work.  immigrants would learn to live in a nation with a culture different from their own by adapting to their culture to fit in. 
in conclusion, it was a struggle for immigrants to come to America, but they still did it and pushed through.
