How does the ruling that the president cannot remove the vice president from office prevent the president from making the vice president a "true assistant"?

- because the president would have little recourse against any public disagreements or difficulties made by the

vice president, no president has as of yet upgraded the role of the vice president to "assistant president." the

major reason for this is because the vice president is not subjected to the discipline of removal from office by

the president, he cannot be fired by the president and therefore could become a liability to the strength of the

presidency.

- vp has more responsibility than being the president's assistant  

- he/she serves as president of the us senate as well overseeing several other aspects of the executive government. the only way vp can be remove from office is by death, resignation, impeachment and subsequent conviction by the us congress.

+ the presiding officer of the senate is the vp of the us so that is how he cannot make him a true assistant.
