How might writing or types of writing tools change in the future

For writing tools it can be guessed that somewhere in the future the act of physically writing with pencil or pen on paper might be traded for typing and anything thing recently seen is that many of the new younger generations are not being taught cursive anymore so the cursive language/alphabet might completely disappear as well in the future.
