In America it receives all the French territories in Canada, the territories east of the Mississippi River and west of the Appalachian Mountains (except New Orleans), Dominica, Grenada, St. Vincent and Tobago. The French are also forced to evacuate the island of Menorca, occupied during the war with the British, who had dominated it since the war of the Spanish Succession. From Spain receives Florida in exchange for withdrawing troops stationed in the city of Manila (Philippines) and the port of Havana (Cuba), and gets the right of free navigation on the Mississippi River. The Kingdom of Spain: by the Treaty of Fontainebleau of 1762, France delivered Louisiana to the west of the Mississippi, including its capital, New Orleans. The Kingdom of Portugal: Spain evacuates the north of Uruguay and the Colonia del Sacramento, occupied during the war. The Kingdom of France: besides the five mentioned Indian squares, it is allowed to conserve the island of Gorea and Saint Pierre and Miquelon. Great Britain returns Guadeloupe and Martinique and recognizes their fishing rights in Newfoundland.
