Briefly describe the discrimination african-americans faced after the end of reconstruction.

After reconstruction social tensions were defined between the rich and the poor, immigrants and the natives,workers verses capitalists. African-american were not an exceptional they were discriminated and segregated by their white counter parts in terms of political,social and economic aspects. Despite passage of several amendments in the constitution they found it was still difficult to have equal rights. Racial discrimination ensued in work and also in political offices where they were seen not to deserve any equal rights. Therefore, the end of reconstruction did not bring the anticipated freedom to people who used to serve as slaves.
