How were children affected by the great depression?

Children worked to support their families which affected the education. many starved, many ran away from home (to find a better place, food, etc.)

They didn't have much money nor food because the great depression was a time of lots of sadness (obviously), lots of people were broke, and no jobs to help with the money situation.
