How did the beliefs of quakers differ from those of the puritans how did william penn's actions reflect his beliefs as a quaker

Quakers had more liberal beliefs than puritans in aspects susch as freedom fo religiom, gender equality and even they were less strict to use the Bible as a literal set of rules to obey. Willam Penn's actions on Penssylvania were in accordance to the his ideals as a Quacker.

Quakers, like Puritans, did not approve catholics practics and interpretation of Bible, but they offered different alternatives. Quackers beliefs were more oriented to freedom in many areas. For exmaple, Bible for the Quackers was used as a guidance and not as source of literal interpretation and obedience as the Puritans stated. Quackers believed in freedom of religion,  peace as a cornerstone for society and  even gender equality, something unthinkable for Puritans who discriminate natives and did not see women worthy of the same rights a man had on that time.

Willam Penn as a Quacker applied his beliefs on his colony of pennsylvania. In that colony, freedom of religion was a reality, there was no military and law was constructed so disputes could be solved with justice no matter they were natives or settlers. Additionally, women were treated as the same level of men. All this project on Pennsylvania conducted by William Penn is known as his Holy Experiment
