How did the roles and rights of women change in the mid 180s, and in what way did they not change?

Their roles changed during World War 2 when they had to take up jobs men had to leave behind because of the drafts for the army, the rights changed after when they were given the right to vote. In my opinion their roles did not change from helping men even tho they went from doing simple things around the house to working in factories creating supplies for the war they still were helping men by doing so
