Diversity is a weakness is you favor one group over the other. History has shown that when you have multiple ethnic or cultural groups and you suppress or favor one of them the government tends to collapse. The easier way to prevent this is to write a constitution granting people no matter their religious, ethnic, and cultural groups rights to express their values and making them part of one national identity. People usually remain peaceful and government usually remains effective in a diverse country if people are able to expresss their opinions and have a national identity they can relate to.

some women in the middle and upper classes worked as doctors, government officials, or priestesses. both women and men enjoyed a better quality of life the higher they were on the social pyramid. the egyptians believed that their class system created a stable, well-ordered society. each group had its own role to play.
