He threatened to hang his own vice president because they didn’t agree, and use military might to crush people who were trying to defend their rights. What is even worse is that through his campaign he was “for” to rights of the common man. The Trail of Tears was caused by Jackson. He deported Native Americans and as a result killed over 4000 of them. Also, he destroyed the national bank, causing a crisis. In the Worcester vs Georgia, native americans were suing the U.S because they were being forced off their land to dig for gold. The Supreme Court ruled in favor of the native americans, but Andrew Jackson dismissed the ruling by not enforcing it. When he got into office he fired federal employees and replaced them with his own supporters! Jackson took his power as president and abused it.
