The only period in U. S. history during which income and wealth inequality was as extreme as it is today was during the Gilded Age, from about 1870 to around 1900. Research the economic inequality of the Gilded Age and compare it to economic inequality today. Which is more extreme? What actions were taken to remedy the inequalities of the Gilded Age? 7. obama: in attempts to cease a great economical crisis, barack obama signed the controversial recovery act in february 2009, which handled 780-billion dollars.
