Why was medicine in ancient Greece considered to be more advanced that other cultures in this time? Many of the Greek physicians were women who received more training than men.

The Greek physicians looked for the physical cause of the disease and understood a good bit about anatomy and physiology.

The Greek physicians were also priests so they could call on the gods to help them.
