If you could change one thing about your culture what would it be ?

Our current American culture expects homogeneity in deed but diversity in appearance.

It's important to embrace people who have tattoos, people with long hair, short hair or no hair. You have to embrace people of minority skin color (once again an appearance) and / or who wear items that identify themselves culturally.

But, everybody seems to be ok with the expectation of nearly homogeneous personalties and reactions. It's expected at school, work and in all public places. It's like somebody's head is going to explode if I say something that's questions the current norms or asks for facts to back up things I just supposed to accept. It's why we all take prescriptions so we can function.
