Painting 2 since it was the yamato. The thin lines, filled in with bright colors the lines were quick to show movement.

In the period they made sculptures with whole pieces of wood, then the period sculptors made statues by carving separate pieces and they made them join together.

People had to compose poetry and say it in public, if they didn’t that would be bad. Women and men wrote the poems for eachother since it was charmful. If somebody ever got a poem from somebody else you would be expected to write one back.

They had to look down at the poor and ignore them.

Giving large estates to the top nobles eroded the emperors power. The government could not collect enough taxes to support the emperor.

The japans ruler lost control, bandits were roaming around, people with different religions began to band and rob each other.  The power of the lords rivaled, the fighting broke out over the control of the land
